New Member Experience
At Delta Gamma, we strive to provide our new members with a smooth, fun, and meaningful transition into our sisterhood. We kick things off with an exciting Bid Day celebration, where new members “run home to DG” and are welcomed by their new sisters as they begin their journey with us!
In the weeks that follow, new members attend weekly meetings designed to introduce them to the history, values, and traditions of Delta Gamma. They’ll also take part in the Big/Little process, where each new member is paired with a “Big sister”, a mentor and friend who will help guide them through their Delta Gamma experience. Leading up to this, new members go on “Anchormate Dates,” a series of one-on-one hangouts that allow them to connect more personally with collegians.
To strengthen new bonds, we also host a New Member Retreat — a fun and meaningful opportunity for each member class to grow closer. Beyond the new member experience, our chapter hosts a variety of events throughout the year that all members can enjoy. These include sisterhood events, date parties, Semi-Formal and Formal, Founder’s Day celebrations, Homecoming events, Desserts with DG, Anchor Games, and so much more!
At Delta Gamma, we aim to create a true home away from home. We’re grounded in our values of friendship, cultural and educational interests, social responsibility, and character — and we can’t wait to welcome each new class into our sisterhood.
MC’25, we haven't met you yet, but we already love you!
